WEAI ado files
The WEAI ado files (available for download above) provide the Stata command for calculating measures from the WEAI family of tools, including WEAI, A-WEAI, and pro-WEAI. The ado package streamlines index construction and generates scores, sub-indices, and diagnostic outputs using standardized procedures. Detailed documentation and examples are available in Calculating the Women’s Empowerment in Agriculture Index (WEAI) Using Stata (Dione et al. 2024). A companion blog post highlighting key features and applications of the ado files is forthcoming.
WEAI replication files
The replication files for our article “Development of the project-level Women’s Empowerment in Agriculture Index (pro-WEAI)” are now publicly available on Dataverse. This data package contains baseline data from five GAAP2 projects and Stata.do files necessary for replicating the results of the article. The data include all items needed to calculate pro-WEAI, as well as the basic demographic information (gender and household type) used in the analysis. To execute the replication, use the “read me document” that will take you step-by-step through the process. Anyone can access these files here. The questionnaire used to collect the data can be found here.
